Meet Ezra Herzog

Before I became an advisor, I was a chef. I spent years in high-end kitchens in San Francisco and Los Angeles, learning the rhythm of discipline, the art of precision, and the importance of caring about the details no one else sees.
But over time, I realized my deeper gift wasn’t in creating meals, it was in creating trust. I wanted to bring that same level of integrity and high-touch service to a different kind of challenge: helping people build businesses worth working for.
I entered the financial services world in 2005, working in inside sales at John Hancock and Franklin Templeton. I learned what strategy looks like. I also saw what happens when companies prioritize quotas over people.
In 2010, I launched my own practice from a studio apartment in Berkeley. And over a decade later, I’m still doing the same thing—just with better lighting and a clearer mission:
To guide leaders through the complexity of employee benefits with empathy, intelligence, and accountability.
